Meridian Body Brush

A hand tool with a comb of blunt points and finger grooves cut into the back, so you can lean real weight into it without your grip giving out first. It's the thing you reach for when a foam roller is too much equipment and your hands are already tired.

Works dry, or with body oil if you want it to glide. Calves, hamstrings, forearms, the ropey bit at the top of the shoulders — anywhere you'd otherwise dig a thumb in and regret it.

Use it

• Slow passes, following the length of the muscle
• Over body oil after a shower, while skin is warm
• On the shoulders and forearms at a desk, one-handed

What it doesn't do

No motor, no battery, no charging. It's a lever for your own hand — which is the reason it still works in year three, and the reason it does nothing on its own.
